Governor Udom Emmanuel's AideHon Armstrong Moses Speaks on the Agric soft Loan Scheme initiative.
Speaking while giving the loan forms to grassroot farmers in his office in Uyo Hon Armstrong Moses the Special Assistant to The Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Agricultural Projects said the soft loan forms are free, he said that the closing date for the submission of the soft loan forms is the 30th of June 2016.
The hard working SA said the loan Scheme which is in line with Governor Udom Emmanuel's Agricultural Revolution and food sufficiency Agenda is facilitated from the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN Agricultural development fund.
The Governor's Aide said his consultant, Ndaeyo Consult of the New Phase of Agriculture deserves kudos for the quick facilitation and implimentation of the loan scheme.
Hon Armstrong said that the first phase of the loan scheme is for 3000 farmers and is basically for poultry farmers as the commodity model, stressing that the single digit interest loan has a minimum fund of #150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand Naira) and a maximum fund of #500,000 Naira (five hundred thousand Naira). Hon Armstrong said he has personally gone round to distribute the forms to grassroot farmers saying interested farmers should call his consultant Mr Austin Ndaeyo on 08184700505 to obtain the form.
The SA said over Two thousand farmers from the grassroot have so far obtained and returned the free forms for the loan, he further called on more farmers to go for the loan form saying the forms are meant for grassroot farmers who have evidence of existing poultry farms as Central Bank of Nigeria and The Consulting team shall inspect farms before disbursing the loan to an applicant.
The high point of the brief was when two Governors Aides visit Hon Armstrong Moses in his office to also collect the soft loan forms for grassroot farmers in their Local Government Areas, they were Hon David Sergeant (SA Entertainment Industry) who is from Afaha Offort in Uyo Local Government Area and Hon Godfada Uko (SA Project Monitoring) who is from Etinan Local Government Area.
They both thanked their Colleague Hon Armstrong Moses for the good works he is doing at the grassroot Agric sector noting that the soft loan initiative will go a long way to encourage grassroot farmers in the State.
The Governor's Aide Hon. Moses Armstrong thanked his boss and Principal the State Governor His Excellency Deacon Udom Emmanuel for the Agricultural Revolution and Food sufficiency initiative and further stressed the need for all Akwa Ibom Citizens to support the State Governor as this will encourage His Excellency to do more.
Also today the Hard Working SA Hon Armstrong Moses visited members of the Poultry Association of Nigeria PAN in their meeting and also address them on the modus operandi of the loan.
The high point of the exercise was the presentation of the loan forms to farmers by the Face of Agriculture himself.
