security challenges in the State.
However, the NANS Chairman, Comr. Akwaowo Clifford who expressed
his sincere gratitude for the gathering noted that this was the best forum
to discuss the numerous security concerns in the state.

different challenges encountered by the students such as the abuse of
drugs by students, the security situations on campus especially during
night classes and transportation challenges most importantly the
extortion and malhandling of students by tricycle men and men of the
task force.
He also appealled to all the security quarters who were present at the
meeting to urgently intervened by taking drastic measures to end the
prevalence issues. He further commended the genuine effort of the Police
force citing that security is not "One man's business" rather the
responsibility of all law abiding citizens of the state. Finally, he solicited
for a crime free Akwa Ibom In Order to achieve an enabling socio-
economic environment so as to attract more investors and tourists which
is inline with the industrialization pledge of the State Government

boosting the economy of the Nation at-large.
