6 Policemen Killed In Lagos by Militant, Why???

Reports say the gun battle between militants and security operatives earlier on Tuesday, July 26, led to the death of six policemen.

 The incident happened in Adaxson community on LASU Road in Lagos state. A report by the Eagle Online said the militants attacked the patrol van in which the policemen drove and that the car was left riddled with bullets. Soldiers were drafted to the scene where another round of gun battle began leaving residents trapped in their houses. The report said the militants were overpowered and that they retreated to the Igando Creek.

 The report said the militants are also battling with another set of militants in the creek over a deal gun sour. Sources said the money, which came from the deal that took place in Ikorodu area of the state, was whisked away by one of the militants who was tracked to the Igando creek and that this was the genesis of the gun duel experienced in the area early Tuesday, July 26. The report however said the militants did not meet their target and thus decided to go for his godfather, who is said to have been killed alongside a police official attached to him
