A 3 year old girl manuled to death by family dog.

A 3-day-old baby girl in central California was mauled to death by her family's dogs early Monday, police said.
The infant's 33-year-old mother thought the two dogs — reported as shar-pei and pit bull mixes — were restrained in the yard and did not pose a threat,
police said.
"She left the door open because it was hot and she thought the dogs were tied up," Sgt. Dan Macias with the Fresno Police Department told the Fresno Bee.
The unidentified mom left the baby on the couch and "walked away for a few seconds" when the tragic attack took place around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Macias said.
