Man Utd ready contract for midfielder: Offer big pay rise after Mourinho green lights deal

The 23-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season under Louis van Gaal last term and talks had got underway in the final weeks of the campaign.
But they were put on hold after Van Gaal was sacked at the end of the season just days the FA Cup triumph over Crystal Palace in which Lingard scored the winner.

However, new boss Jose Mourinho wants to keep Lingard and has given the green light for contract talks to start again
Lingard is thought to currently earn in the region of £25,000-a-week but it is claimed the new terms will see that rise to £40,000-a-week.
A number of clubs had been circling the attacking midfielder as they waited to see if he was part of Mourinho's plans.

Tottenham, Everton and West Ham are reported to have been tracking Lingard.
Lingard made 40 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring six goals, while he was also called up to the England squad by Roy Hodgson but did not play.
