Although the contract has yet to be signed, Zlatan Ibrahimovic
confirmed on Thursday via Instagram that he'll be joining Manchester
United ahead of the 2016-17 season. So what can the Old Trafford
faithful expect from the 34-year-old when he touches down in England?
For one thing, goals. The Swede has scored 302 career goals in 484
league games. Thirty-eight of those goals came in Ligue 1 last season, a
league total only surpassed by Luis Suarez in Europe's top five
leagues. In Ibrahimovic's four years at Paris Saint-Germain, only
Cristiano Ronaldo (148) and Lionel Messi (143) have scored more league
goals than Ibrahimovic's 113.
Newly installed Man United manager Jose Mourinho will be hopeful that
Ibrahimovic can continue that trend in the Premier League. Last season
under the now-departed Louis van Gaal, United finished fifth in the
Premier League en route to their worst offensive season since 1992-93.

Assuming Ibrahimovic can score on Premier League defences at a rate
similar to his career numbers, Man United could be expected to challenge
for the title. That will certainly be the Swede's ambition.
In his first season with each of his past six clubs (PSG, AC Milan,
Barcelona, Inter, Juventus and Ajax), Ibrahimovic has won a league
title. With those six clubs, he's won 13 league titles in the past 15
seasons.
Mourinho and United will certainly be hopeful that Ibrahimovic's
looming arrival will be enough to bring the Premier League title to Old
Trafford for the first time since 2012-13 -- the club's longest
league-title drought in the Premier League era.
