Ex-President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, on Wednesday (Today) explained
why he visited President Muhammadu Buahri at the Presidential villa,
Abuja.
Jonathan had earlier met with the President behind closed doors at the villa.
Ex-President while Addressing State House Journalist after the meeting which lasted for 25 minutes, he said “the meeting afforded him the opportunity to brief the President on his recent international engagement and those in the future”
Jonathan, however, refused to answer questions on the current administration’s anti-corruption war.
On the renewed violence in the Niger Delta, Jonathan said “it was appropriate for him and traditional rulers in the area to mediate in the matter”
