Eket-Ibeno Road is 65% Completed, Chairman House Committee on Works Idongesit Ituen Assessment

The Chairman house Committee on works and transport in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Hon (Prince) Idongesit Ituen, has expressed satisfaction on the speed and pace the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Ltd (CCECC) in the construction of Eket-Ibeno road.


 The road which is 65 percent completed, is one of the roads that is currently facilitated by the Udom Emmanuel led Government in Akwa Ibom State, which has been regarded as the best thing that could ever happen to the people of area, considering the dangers the bad state of the road have caused when the state government did not intervene.
Addressing the natives of Eket and Ibeno in Eket, Hon. Ituen assured the people, that the significant of their visit as part of their oversight function is the readiness of the state government to complete the road within in the stipulated time.
 He noted that it will be wise for the people of the area to keyed into the laudable programmes of the state Governor, of which many more projects has been penciled down for the area.
 On the other part the representative of the CCECC said they are running out of funds because of the sand filling and the honourable member - Hon Ituen said the issue will be addressed to the Governor. Hon Idongesit Ituen was accompanied by Hon Otobong Akpan, member representing Ukanafun state constituency.
