OFFICIAL: Ighalo signs new Watford contract

Watford striker Odion Ighalo has committed his future to the club by signing a new five-year contract.The Nigeria international, who scored 17 goals in 42 appearances for the Hornets last season, had been linked with a move away from Vicarage Road this summer.

Watford reportedly turned down a £38 million bid from Chinese club Shanghai SIPG last month before opening talks regarding a new deal.Ighalo's previous deal with Watford was not due to expire until 2020 but he has been handed improved terms in a bid to resist further interest.
