Frustrated Olympic Nigerian Footballers Boycott Training Session

Nigeria's players have boycotted a training session in the build-up to their Olympics football quarter-final with Denmark in a dispute over pay.

The frustrated 'Dream Team VI' refused to train yesterday until Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) officials paid them outstanding bonuses and allowances from camping and previous games.

Their coach Samson Siasia is fully backing their decisions and revealed in recent  interview with Lagos-based radio station Brila FM, that "Everything is upside down and the boys don't want to play anymore. Whatever they want to do, I’m with them. They are right for fighting for their rights. "I have not received my salary for the past five months; my assistants are

also owed for the same number of months - that's cruel on men who have family.
